Hi! I’m Adriela, a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, Registered Chiropractor and Applied Kinesiologist based in Auckland, New Zealand.

I’ve lived with eczema my whole life and spent years cycling through steroid creams and antibiotic treatments that offered temporary relief but never lasting change.

At eighteen, I met a Chiropractor, Applied Kinesiologist and Functional Medicine Practitioner who looked deeper into what might be driving my symptoms. It was the first time I understood how addressing my internal health could transform my external symptoms. By changing my diet, using natural supplements and making small but powerful lifestyle shifts, I experienced long-lasting results. This is where my passion for holistic healing began.

Through the study of Functional Medicine, I’ve deepened my understanding of how interconnected the body truly is. Time and time again, I’ve seen how hormonal imbalances and gut health impact skin conditions and other stubborn symptoms. These connections have become the heart of my work at Future You Wellness, where I focus on identifying root causes and guiding clients toward sustainable, meaningful change.

I believe that lasting wellness begins with knowledge and understanding. I’m passionate about making complex health topics simple, actionable and personalised so you feel informed, inspired and in control of your health journey.

I prioritise honesty, transparency and evidence-based practice in every interaction. My clients trust me to deliver recommendations that are in their best long-term interests, never driven by trends or quick fixes.

Every person is unique, and so is their story. I meet clients where they are, listening without judgment and honouring the physical, chemical and emotional aspects of healing. I strive to see the whole human, not just the symptoms.

If you’re ready to understand your health on a deeper level, you’re in the right place.

To uncover the underlying causes of your symptoms, I utilise comprehensive laboratory testing that is supported by scientific research. These insights inform a tailored plan that may include nutrition and lifestyle changes, targeted supplementation, and homeopathy.

 Frequently Asked Questions:

  • Functional Medicine looks for the root cause of symptoms rather than just treating them at the surface. Instead of focusing only on diagnosing the illness and medication for treatment, we look at why you might be experiencing these symptoms and how your gut microbiome, hormones, nutrition, stress and lifestyle all play a role in your health. Treatment is a holistic and natural approach, including nutrition and lifestyle changes, supplementation and homeopathy if necessary.

  • Yes! I am a graduate of the Functional Medicine University based in the United States. As a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner, I have completed over 200 hours of research on digestion and gastrointestinal health, immune response, oxidative stress and blood sugar regulation, cardiovascular health, detoxification and liver support, neuro-endocrine health, inflammation, nutrition, botanicals and natural health, and more.

Additionally, I have completed the Diploma of Applied Science at Auckland University of Technology (AUT) and the 4-year Chiropractic Degree at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic (NZCC). Over this 5-year period, I received extensive training in human anatomy and physiology, biology and pathology, neurology, biomechanics and diagnostic imaging.

I have also completed the post-graduate Applied Kinesiology Certification through the International College of Applied Kinesiology (Australasia). This provides additional insight into how structural, chemical/nutritional and mental/emotional stressors affect how the body functions.

  • No, I work alongside your healthcare team. You should still see your GP or other health providers for checkups, prescriptions or acute concerns. My role is to provide a deeper, root-cause approach to help you achieve lasting results.

I do not prescribe or manage prescription medications or controlled substances as that is the role of a medical doctor. I use natural and non-invasive therapies, including herbal supplementation, nutrition and lifestyle changes, stress management techniques, and more. The goal of Functional Medicine is to address the underlying causes of health conditions in the most natural way possible, to prevent further disease and promote optimal health and function.

  • Absolutely! All sessions are held online via secure video call, so you can join from anywhere.

  • This is very personalised and can depend on how many symptoms you are experiencing and how many systems are involved. Skin, gut and hormonal concerns often develop over months or years, therefore I typically recommend a commitment of 6 months to allow time for lasting improvements. However, many clients notice changes much earlier in the treatment plan, within 1–3 months.

  • The Initial Consultation will include a thorough, in-depth health history to uncover patterns and potential causes of your symptoms. We will utilise targeted testing, such as bloodwork (for nutrient and inflammation markers), stool testing (for gut health) and hormone panels (for thyroid, cortisol or sex hormones), to personalise your treatment plan. You’ll receive education, step-by-step guidance and an action plan that supports your healing journey. We will review your symptoms monthly, discuss progress and update your care plan to ensure you are getting the best results possible.

Yes! Every plan is unique to you. It may include nutrition and lifestyle changes, supplementation, homeopathy and stress support. Nothing is “one-size-fits-all” at Future You Wellness.

  • Healing is a journey. While no practitioner can promise specific results, this process ensures you’re supported at every step. We regularly check in on how your body is responding and make thoughtful adjustments along the way, so you’re not stuck continuing something that doesn’t feel right or isn’t helping. If progress isn’t as expected, we’ll dig deeper with additional testing or refine your care plan. My goal is to help you uncover why your symptoms persist and guide you toward meaningful, long-lasting change.

  • These programs are designed to reduce guesswork and repeated trial-and-error. Most clients come to me after spending time and money on appointments, supplements, tests or protocols that didn’t fully address the root cause. Each program brings structure, investigation and ongoing support so changes are intentional and adjusted as your body heals.

  • A one-off consultation can provide insight, but healing typically requires follow-through, refinement, and support. Each program includes guidance over time, progress reviews and plan adjustments, which is where most meaningful and lasting change happens.

  • Of course! Many clients choose ongoing check-ins or annual reviews to maintain their progress and prevent relapse.

  • You’re likely suited to one of my programs if:

    • You’re tired of guessing and want to understand why your symptoms keep coming back

    • You’re ready to invest in understanding your body, not just managing symptoms

    • You’re open to a guided, structured approach rather than trying to fix things alone

    • You’re wanting to focus on long-term improvement, not temporary relief

You don’t need to have everything worked out or feel completely “ready.” The best way to know if this is right for you is to book a Discovery Call. It’s a relaxed, no-pressure conversation where we talk through what’s been going on for you and whether this approach aligns with your goals and current needs.
