I thought period pain was normal. That crawling into bed with a hot water bottle every month was just part of being female. It’s not.

I hear this story all the time. Common does not mean normal, and symptoms, such as pain, are your body’s way of asking for help. It is telling you that something is wrong and needs to be addressed. We need to learn how to listen and ask the right questions so we can perform at our best, no matter what time of year, month or phase of life we are going through.

Hormones influence every part of your wellbeing, from mood and metabolism to energy and sleep. By combining functional medicine testing with holistic and natural viewpoints, we identify how stress, nutrition, and lifestyle are affecting your hormonal systems, then guide you toward restoring balance naturally.

Your cycle shouldn’t control your life. The Balanced Hormones Program helps you discover what’s driving the pain, and how to bring your hormones back into harmony.

Common Stories I Hear:

“Two weeks of every month felt unpredictable. I’d go from calm to irritable, bloated, exhausted, and emotional - only to feel normal again once my period arrived. It felt like my body had a mind of its own.”

“Some months I’d get my period early, some months late, sometimes not at all. I never knew what my body was doing, and it made me feel completely out of control.”

“I was told to ‘just go on the pill’ for my irregular periods and acne. Years later, I was still exhausted, moody, and struggling with weight gain. That’s when I learned I had PCOS, but no clear step forward to help me with my symptoms.”

“It took years to get an endometriosis diagnosis. For so long, I was told my pain was ‘normal’. But deep down, I knew it wasn’t.”

“We’d been trying for over a year. Every month was another heartbreak, another test, another ‘maybe next time’.”

What makes this program different?

We don’t guess. We test, analyse, personalise, and guide you every step of the way.

The Functional Medicine Approach focuses on identifying and treating the underlying causes, rather than the symptoms, so you can achieve long-term results.

The Hormonal Healing Program Includes:

  1. Comprehensive Health Assessment

    • A deep review of your diet, lifestyle, and health history to understand your unique body.

  2. Specialised Laboratory Testing

    • Key contributors to assess when addressing hormone imbalance include thyroid function, adrenal (cortisol) activity, sex hormone levels, nutrient deficiencies, detoxification pathways, gut health, and how the body metabolises and clears hormones.

  3. Personalised Healing Protocol

    • Your plan is tailored to your unique results - no generic advice, no “one-size-fits-all” approach. It is designed to address the root causes of imbalance through targeted nutrition, supplementation, lifestyle, and stress support to restore long-term balance.

  4. Ongoing Support

    • You’ll receive guidance, education, accountability, and adjustments along your healing journey.

How it Works:

    Initial Treatment Plan

Approximately four weeks in, we will conduct a check-in to assess the progress of this phase of care.

Any appropriate changes will be made to ensure efficacy and the best possible results.

Specialised Laboratory Testing

  • Testing blood hormone levels provides insight into how well your body’s hormonal systems are functioning and communicating. Imbalances in oestrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones can affect mood, energy, metabolism, and cycle regularity.

We want to test the hormone levels found in the blood as it measures the active circulating hormone levels at a single point in time, providing an accurate snapshot of what’s available for your body to use right now.

    Women’s Hormonal Bundle:

    • Anti-Mullerian Hormone

    • Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulphate (DHEAS)

    • Follicle-Stimulating Hormone

    • Luteinising Hormone

    • Oestradiol

    • Prolactin

    • Progesterone

    • Testosterone And SHBG

    Male’s Hormonal Bundle:

    • Dehydroepiandrosterone Sulphate (DHEAS)

    • Dihydrotestosterone

    • Prolactin

    • Prostate-Specific Antigen

    • Testosterone And SHBG

  • We want to test the hormones in the saliva as this measures the free or active fraction of hormones that have entered tissues, which can be useful for tracking stress hormones like cortisol.

    Female’s Hormonal Panel:

    • Cortisol (6-8am, noon, 4pm, 8pm)

    • DHEAs (6-8am)

    • Estrone (E1)

    • Estradiol (E2)

    • Estriol (E3)

    • Progesterone

    • Testosterone

    • Ratios

    Male’s Hormonal Panel:

    • Cortisol (6-8am, noon, 4pm, 8pm)

    • DHEAs (6-8am)

    • Estrone (E1)

    • Estradiol (E2)

    • Testosterone

  • The DUTCH (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones) panel is regarded as the gold standard for advanced hormone assessment.

It measures free and metabolised sex and adrenal hormones, as well as cortisol patterns across a 24-hour cycle. This provides critical information on not only hormone levels but also how your body metabolises and clears them, giving insight into hormonal balance, diurnal rhythm, HPA axis function/stress response, and detoxification.

This makes it one of the most accurate and comprehensive tools for understanding hormonal patterns and guiding personalised treatment.

  • Cortisol graphing provides a visual representation of the diurnal cortisol rhythm, reflecting HPA axis activity and adrenal function. Abnormal patterns, such as flattened curves or elevated evening levels, can indicate dysregulated stress response, impaired recovery, or chronic fatigue. This can help guide strategies to restore a healthy stress response, restore circadian balance and steady energy.

This test is included in the DUTCH Testing Kits recommended.

  • The thyroid gland plays a key role in regulating metabolism, energy, mood, and menstrual health. Because thyroid hormones interact closely with oestrogen, progesterone, and cortisol, even subtle thyroid imbalances can cause or worsen hormonal symptoms such as fatigue, weight changes, irregular cycles, and low mood. A full thyroid panel (including TSH, Free T3, Free T4, and thyroid antibodies) helps identify underactive or overactive thyroid function and autoimmune thyroid disease, allowing for a more accurate understanding of how the endocrine system is functioning as a whole.

This thyroid profile provides a comprehensive analysis of thyroid hormone metabolism that allows us to pinpoint common imbalances that may be causing chronic illnesses. It includes central thyroid gland regulation and activity, thyroid production and secretion, peripheral thyroid conversion, and thyroid autoimmunity.

    Blood Panel Includes:

    • TSH

    • Free T4

    • Free T3

    • Reverse T3

    • FT3:RT3 Ratio

    • Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) antibodies

    • Anti-Thyroglobulin (ATG) antibodies

    • TSH Receptor antibodies

  • The Organic Acids Test provides insight into how well your body is producing and metabolising hormones by assessing key biochemical pathways that influence hormonal balance.

It measures markers related to nutrient status, detoxification, gut microbiome activity, and neurotransmitter metabolism - all of which affect how hormones are made, activated, and cleared. Identifying these underlying imbalances helps support optimal hormone function, energy, and mood.

This information complements hormone panels such as DUTCH or serum testing by revealing upstream factors affecting adrenal, thyroid, and sex hormone balance. This provides more effective results through precise and individualised treatment plans.
